It is important that you are comfortable with our request to have your bloods taken (within 3 months of starting treatment) and also we request that you consent to us notifying your GP if you commence treatment. Please remember this is all for your safety and commitment to achieving your weight loss goal. We are more than happy to discuss with your GP any concerns they may have regarding you starting treatment.
What can I expect from the initial Consultation: We allocate one hour to
review your health questionnaire, carry out a preliminary assessment including blood pressure, weight, waist circumference measurement, review of blood results, review of diet and exercise regime to compliment the injectable treatment.
We will also give a clear explanation to the science behind the treatment, mode of action and management of any potential side effects. We aim to establish goals and expectations, agree treatment targets, and discuss dosing schedule. We will demonstrate how the pen works and appropriate injection technique. You will be provided with written information regarding the consultation and a copy of the assessment upon request. Follow up will be arranged as appropriate to need,

Do you charge for follow up reviews?- We do not charge for telephone review and infact request that you do keep in touch on a regular basis to let us know how you are getting along and track your progress. If you require face to face review we do charge a consultation fee of £50
How do I get the prescription: A prescription will be generated on your first appointment and will be dispensed and delivered to your door by accredited GPHR and MHRA supplier . Ccld chain delivery is guaranteed by the registered courier. Any ongoing prescription requirements can be ordered on request by telephone or email
How much weight can I expect to lose?
Weight loss varies upon the individual, taking into consideration starting Body Mass Index (BMI) and how much weight you have to lose, calorie reduction, exercise regime and not to mention will power. Target weight loss is based ideally on aiming for around 3- 5 % reduction in your body weight (based upon NICE NG7 guidance).
What are the advantages of losing weight and maintaining a healthy BMI?
There is clear evidence that men and women living with a BMI > 25 are more at risk of developing, pre diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, heart failure ,hypertension dyslipidemia, osteoarthritis and asthma.

Once I’ ve reached my ideal weight – how do I maintain it?
It is recommended that if target weight loss is not achieved after 3 months we consider discontinuing therapy
Some people however may choose to continue with a maintenance dose of treatment in order to maintain their goal.
Does the injection hurt?
No absolutely not …it’s a small injection delivered just under the skin. We understand that you may be apprehensive but you’ll be surprised at how easy it is.
